Lakeside Firefighters Charity
We are thrilled to introduce the Lakeside Firefighters Charity, established in 2024 by Lakeside Firefighters L4488. Our charity is passionately dedicated to providing vital assistance and unwavering support, not only to our own firefighters but also to the families of firefighters facing hardships. We take immense pride in standing by our firefighting community during their times of need.
Prior to the inception of our new charity, Lakeside Firefighters have actively participated in various organizations, including the San Diego Burn Institute's "Camp Beyond Scars" boot drive, MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) boot drives, and the Kids News Day fundraiser for Rady Children’s Hospital.
Moreover, our commitment extends to our local community of Lakeside. Over the years, Lakeside firefighters have participated in events like the Lakeside parade and Lakeside rodeo, and have financially supported various Lakeside youth sports. We have also been dedicated to awarding scholarships to El Capitan High School students seeking higher education in college or vocational training for the past two decades.
During the Christmas holiday season, our focus shifts to supporting local families in need. Recognizing the challenges faced by many families, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring they have the essentials for everyday living, while also striving to bring the spirit of the season to their homes. We take pride in our efforts to alleviate some of the burdens they may face and endeavor to bring joy to the children and families in need during this special time of year.
We are enthusiastically excited about the opportunities to grow the Lakeside Firefighters charity and expand the impact and support we can provide to our community for years to come. Two significant ways to support our charity are by joining us at the Lakeside Fire Protection District open house and the Firefighter Pancake Breakfast.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to making a positive difference together.
